Are you registered with medical aids?

A

Choose Life Specialist Recovery Centre is registered with all medical aids. If you are unsure about your medical aid cover, please give us a call and we will help you with your query.

Are you registered with any boards/councils/BHF?

A

Choose Life Specialist Recovery Centre is a registered facility with the BHF and the Department of Social Development. We are also registered with Board of Addiction Professionals South Africa (BAPSA). All members of the multidisciplinary team are registered members with their relevant accreditation associations.

How long is the programme?

A

Our programme is 24 days and 4 days for detox, should that be required. Many of our clients extend their stay beyond that as they continue on their recovery journey.

Am I allowed visitors?

A

Visitors and your support network are encouraged. To ensure that your recovery is paramount to every decision we make together, we will navigate this with the support of the multi-disciplinary team.

What should I bring with me?

A

We want your stay with us to be as comfortable as possible. We have created a home away from home environment. We will send you a comprehensive list of what you should bring prior to your admission.

What can I expect on admission?

A

We know that admission for yourself or a loved one is a difficult decision and we don’t want you to ever feel alone on this journey with us. You will be welcomed by our team on arrival. We will then have our initial assessment to determine your needs to ensure we develop the best suited treatment plan for you.

What is aftercare?

A

The success of your recovery and aftercare is determined by your will to Choose Life. Nothing changes if nothing changes. We encourage all our clients to actively participate in long-term aftercare to ensure your recovery is sustainable. Together with your treatment team, we will discuss the best options going forward for you as an individual.

What help is offered to the family?

A

Ongoing support from the family is an essential part of successful recovery. At Choose Life Specialist Recovery Centre we offer psychoeducation and recovery coaching for the family.
